When I scooped up this vintage table I saw its hidden potential right away. I love the barley twist legs and the unique details in the base. The frame is made of solid wood and the top is a very heavy textured stone. I knew it would take a special kind of person to agree and also see beyond its boring vintage appearance and appreciate the potential that comes with those barley twist legs and its uniqueness! So when my customer agreed to go with a gray to compliment the black of the stone I was ecstatic!
After the prep work was complete I hand painted a neutral gray and then added a black wash and distressed. The table itself has such amazing details that the gray with the wash give a bit of a stone appearance to the wood.
This table is dripping with character and texture! The stone top is awesome, and is super heavy. The base has twists and turns and crevices and curves to die for.
