Preheat oven to 350F.
Gather banana muffin recipe ingredients. Make sure your bananas are ripe.
Line with cupcakes liners or grease a 12-count muffin tin and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the bananas, applesauce, eggs, and honey either by hand or with an electric mixer.
Combine the coconut oil and vanilla extract. Mix into the banana mixture.
Next combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt.
Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture and mix until combined.
Portion batter into the prepared muffin pan, about 2/3 of the way full.
Bake for 18-22 minutes, until they pass the toothpick test.
