How to Make Sweet Potato Wedges in an Air Fryer
First, preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F for 5 minutes.
While the fryer warms up, prepare the sweet potatoes. First, wash the taters with cold water and then pat dry with a paper towel.
Then on a cutting board, with a sharp knife cut each large sweet potato lengthwise into wedges, and place in a large bowl.
Next, add the oil and honey to the bowl.
Add the salt and smoked paprika to the bowl.
Then toss to coat.
Cook Time for Air Fryer Potato Wedges
To ensure even crisping, transfer the seasoned wedges to the air fryer basket in a single layer, if possible. This allows the hot air to circulate freely around each wedge.
Set the cooking time for 12 minutes and press start.
After 12 minutes, toss the wedges, or give the basket a little shake. Then set the time to cook for another 12 minutes.
When done check the sweet potato wedges for doneness. For extra crispy wedges cook for up to another 3-4 minutes, as needed. The longer the cooking time, the more the crispy sweet potato fries will become crispy and brown. Make sure not to overcook them.
