How to Make a Cherry Smoothie with Cacao
As always, make sure to gather your ingredients to make a chocolate cherry smoothie. In a powerful blender add the cherries and ice cubes. Pulse slightly to chop. I recently upgraded my blender to a combo blender, food processor, smoothie maker and spiralizer in one. I was hesitant to spend so much on an appliance but since I literally use my blender every day I figured it is a good investment. Well, I absolutely love this machine! You can find one HERE
After you slightly chop the frozen cherries and ice go ahead and add the remaining ingredients (minus the liquids). I always like to add protein powder to my smoothie recipes. This ingredient is optional, but if you are looking for a tasty organic vegan protein and vitamin plant-based protein powder then this is the one that I use daily: HERE (I have both the vanilla and chocolate flavored).
Next, pour the almond milk and water on top.
Blend until smooth and then portion into one large jar or two small jars to share with a friend or loved one. My kids love to steal my smoothies so sometimes I made a little extra to share with them.
