For bacon, I always suggest going with uncured bacon without any nitrates. You can order great quality bacon and other meats online from Crowd Cow, and have it shipped to your home. Keep in mind when choosing bacon that thin bacon is more likely to tear than thick cut. Opt for regular-cut bacon or thick-cut when possible.

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. This bacon wrapped asparagus oven temp allows the bacon to cook to a crisp while cooking the asparagus at the same time.

Then use a sharp knife and a cutting board to trim the woody ends off of the asparagus.


Next, wrap one slice of bacon around 3 pieces of asparagus. Leave the ends exposed and use a toothpick to secure the bacon at the base. Season with salt and black pepper if you’d like. 


Then line a cookie sheet or rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Place a wire rack onto the prepared baking sheet, and place the little bundles of bacon-wrapped asparagus onto the rack in a single layer.

How Long to Cook Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Bake in the oven and cook for 25 minutes. Then flip the bundles over so the bacon strips can cook evenly and cook for another 8-10 minutes.

The cooking time may vary depending on your oven. Keep an eye on them and make sure the ends of the asparagus don’t burn.
