Using the slicer section of a cheese grater like this one here: slicer, shred a cup of red cabbage.
Do the same with the green cabbage, and combine them both in a medium size bowl.
Next, we are adding relish. Try to find one without added unnecessary ingredients.
We are also adding mayonnaise. This is the mayo that I prefer. It is made with only avocado oil, cage-free eggs, organic vinegar, organic mustard, and spices to add flavor and creaminess to your meals. You can get it online here: organic mayo.
You definitely need homemade coleslaw dressing with mustard for that subtle zing, so add the dijon mustard and the dried cranberries. These are the cranberries that I prefer. After a bit of searching they are the only ones I could find without added sugar. You should be able to get them online here: dried cranberries.
All of your homemade coleslaw recipe ingredients should be piled in your bowl.
Stir to combine.
You can serve your homemade coleslaw immediately or pop in the refrigerator and serve later.
Simple and easy.
What to Eat With Your Homemade Coleslaw
This easy homemade coleslaw recipe pairs perfectly atop your pulled pork tacos. Or turkey tacos.
This easy coleslaw recipe is also the perfect side to your summer burgers. (I confess I added shredded carrots to this batch, but everything else is the same).
Coleslaw leftovers are a great side to grilled pork sausage and peppers. The next day the homemade coleslaw dressing always looks a bit more purple from the red cabbage.
