Lobster Corn Potato Chowder Recipe

  • Lobster meat
  • Chicken Broth 
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Parsley
  • Bay Leaf
  • Salt Pork (or bacon)
  • Sweet Onion
  • Garlic
  • Gold Potatoes
  • Sweet Corn Kernels
  • Milk
  • Half & Half
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt & Pepper

How to Make Chowder

  2. Begin by draining the liquid from your 2 cans of lobster meat into a pot.
  3. Add the liquid from the lobster meat, plus 4 cups of chicken broth, 1 bay leaf, chopped celery, chopped carrots and a bit of fresh parsley to a large pot and bring to a low boil over medium heat.   4. While the broth mixture cooks, begin cooking the chopped salt pork in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.   6. Add the onions and garlic plus the corn and potatoes to the broth mixture, and bring to a low rolling boil over medium heat. Cover, and let cook until the potatoes become tender.

  • 2 cans lobster meat, or 16oz fresh lobster meat
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • fresh parsley
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 oz salt pork , chopped
  • 1 large sweet onion, chopped
  • 3 tsp garlic, minced
  • 6 gold potatoes, cubed
  • 4 cups sweet corn, kernels
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups half and half
  • cayenne pepper
  • salt & pepper , to taste

Instructions

Notes
