You can get your chicken at the local grocery store, or online. I am a huge fan of quality grass-fed meats, and organic, pasture-raised chicken. We order most of our meat online from small regenerative farms, here: Crowd Cow.

You will also need a Ninja Foodi to make this recipe. If you love air fryer recipes and this fast and healthy way of cooking, investing in an air fryer is a must. This Ninja Foodi is an all in one kitchen appliance. It’s an air fryer, pressure cooker, instant pot, saute, broil, and more. It can be found online here: Ninja Foodi. You can also find different brands of air fryers in different sizes with different capabilities online here: air fryers.

How to Cook Ninja Air Fryer Chicken Wings
First, preheat the air fryer while you prepare the wings. Make sure that the air fryer basket is in the Foodi, and close the crisping lid. The air fryer will not start with the lid open.

Select the air crisp function, set the temperature to 400 degrees F, and press start. The Foodi will automatically set the time for 20 minutes. It does not need to preheat this long, it only needs about 5 minutes, but I let mine preheat for as long as I am prepping the chicken.

Next, while the air fryer heats up fold up a few layers of paper towels, and use them to pat the wings dry.

Then place the naked wings in a clean large bowl. Drizzle the wings with a little bit of olive oil or avocado oil.

Add the seasoning to the bowl, and toss to coat.

How Long to Cook Chicken WIngs in an Air Fryer
Place the wings in the Ninja Foodi air fryer in a single layer. You do not want to overcrowd the crisp basket.
The Foodi functions the same as a traditional air fryer. Air fryers are basically mini convection ovens. Inside, a heating element gets really hot, and a fan blows that hot air around your food constantly. This constant circulation of hot air cooks your chicken wings evenly from all sides, making them crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle.
With the temperature still at 400 degrees, set the cooking time for 18 minutes. Press start.

At the midpoint, around 8-9 minutes shake the basket, or toss the air fryer wings to make sure that they cook evenly. Use silicone tongs to prevent scratching the air fryer basket.

Once the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees the chicken is done. You can add a few more minutes if you prefer your delicious chicken wings to be extra crispy.

Ninja Foodi Air Crisp Chicken Wings
Remove the air fryer chicken wings from the Foodi and transfer to a plate or serving platter.

Your Ninja Foodi wings should be a crisp golden brown on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside.

How to Serve Air Fryer Chicken Wings
Serve immediately with some celery sticks, and your favorite dipping sauces, like buffalo sauce, barbecue sauce, ranch, or any homemade sauce that you prefer.

For buffalo wings, simply toss the wings in a bowl of hot sauce to coat. I like to keep my wings separate and dip them, while my husband likes to toss them in a bowl with hot sauce.

These are the best air fryer chicken wings to make as an appetizer before a meal, a game day get together, or game night with family or friends.
