Healthy smoothies make the perfect breakfast when you are short on time, or running out the door. They are a delicious way to enjoy something filling, healthy, and tasty.

What You Will Need to Make a Banana Protein Smoothie

This healthy breakfast smoothie is made with simple ingredients. The key ingredients are bananas and protein powder.

  • 1 fresh banana
  • โ€‹1 serving vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a few ice cubes

You have the option to use a fresh or frozen banana. When your bananas are getting spots, and no one is interested in eating them you can then slice them into smaller pieces and place them in Ziploc bags in the freezer. Frozen bananas are great for making banana smoothies because they eliminate the need for adding extra ice.

For the milk, you can truly use your milk of choice. My favorite non-dairy milk to use is almond and cashew milk. You can also try using coconut milk or oat milk if you’d like.

When it comes to protein powder, this comes down to personal preference. I always like to check out different protein powders to see what is good and what isn’t.
