Ingredients to Make a Tropical Mango Pineapple Coconut Smoothie

To make this pineapple coconut mango smoothie recipe  you will need just a few simple ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup frozen mango (70g)
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple (70g)
  • 1/2 cup plain coconut yogurt
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • optional topping – shredded coconut

You absolutely can make this mango pineapple coconut shake with fresh mango and fresh pineapple chunks if they are available and in season. I am making it with frozen fruit because frozen fruit can almost always be found at the grocery store any time of year no matter whether they are in season or not.

If you do use fresh fruit you may need to add a few ice cubes to make this creamy drink cold. whereas with frozen fruit, ice is not necessary.

How to Make a Delicious Mango Pineapple Smoothie with Coconut

First, pour the coconut milk into the blender.

I prefer to use a can of coconut milk and measure out one cup over the coconut milk in the refrigerated section. Those can often have added ingredients, but you can use whichever you prefer. This is the canned coconut that I like: coconut milk

Next, add the frozen mango chunks to the blender.

This blended drink has a thick creamy consistency. If you prefer a less creamy texture you can use half coconut milk and half coconut water to thin it a bit.
