Super Simple Instant Pot Cherry Jam Recipe
Cherry jam is tasty, natural and so easy to make. With a few simple ingredients and an instant pot, you can make this cherry jam recipe in minutes. You can alter your cherry jam recipe to make a sour cherry jam or a sweet cherry jam recipe. I prefer mine as simple as possible and not too tart which is why I like to sweeten my jam recipe with honey.

- 1 lb fresh cherries
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1 package pectin
- juice from 1/2 lemon

First, you need to gather your ingredients and dig out your instant pot from whereverย you keep it when not in use. We keep these type of things in the storage closet under the stairs. You can find all sorts of things under there from a food dehydrator, crock pot, oversized cooking pot, pasta maker, and food processor. You know, all the kitchenย appliances that you don’tย use on a daily basis but keep for the once in a while that you do need it.ย
Directions:
- Wash your cherries, remove the pits and roughly chop your cherries.
- Set your instant pot on sautรฉ.
- Add the honey (1/2 cup) to the instant pot and allow it to melt. About 2 minutes. You may adjust the amount of honey to your sweetness preference.
- Turn off the instant pot.
- After the honey has melted, add in the chopped cherries along with the juice from one half of a lemon, and the pectin powder.
- Stir cherries to combine all of your cherry jam ingredients.
- Turn your instant pot back on, and set to high pressure for 5 minutes.
- Place the lid on, close the valve, and press start.
- After 5 minutes, allow to naturally release. After about 10 minutes, if you cannot open the top, open the valve and allow the rest of the pressure to release.
- Scoop your cherry jam into jars and properly seal. Place the jars upside down until they’ve cool completely. Store in a cool dark place or in the refrigerator.
- Yields 1 pint
**Keep in mind: your jam will thicken as it cools, so donโt add in more pectin than mentioned above ???? **
