When it comes to almond milk, I prefer plain unsweetened almond milk, but you can use unsweetened vanilla almond milk or even any non-dairy milk of your choice. You can opt for oat milk or coconut milk. Cashew milk is an easy swap for almond milk. This is my favorite almond milk.
You can use vanilla protein powder if that is what you have on hand, but if you want to kick it up a notch you can try this blueberry muffin protein powder. It’s an organic pea protein blend with ingredients like flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, blue spirulina, and coconut milk. This is available online here: blueberry muffin protein powder.
Here are some of the things other customers have said about this blueberry protein powder:
- I would recommend this protein powder. I can taste the blueberry flavor from the powder and it definitely tastes and also smells like real blueberries.
- Smells like freshly baked blueberry muffins.
- The flavor is mildly sweet with a blueberry focus. If you like blueberry muffins, you’ll love this!
- The blueberry flavor is on point! Not sweet or overpowering.
You will also need a high-speed blender. I have this Vitamix blender, and I love it. It’s available online here: Vitamix Blender. There are also many different blenders available online for different price ranges, and abilities. You can find those here: Blenders.

How much does 39 grams of protein powder equal in terms of measurement? Is this equal to 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup per recipe? I don’t have a way to measure grams. Thanks!
I was just making a smoothie as I saw your question, so I took out the scooper and the scaled my measuring cups. It is about a quarter of a cup. 🙂
