For this warm and comforting detox tea made with apple cider vinegar, the type of vinegar does matter. Make sure to use Braggs, organic unfiltered ACV with the ‘mother’. It’s available online here: Braggs ACV.
To sweeten this apple cider vinegar drink we are using raw honey. You can use local honey, which is great for helping with seasonal allergies. Also try to use raw, unfiltered organic when possible, like this one here: raw honey.
We also always use filtered water. If you are looking for a great quality water filter then check out: Clearly Filtered.
What are the Potential Benefits of Drinking Apple Cider Vinegar
The health benefits of apple cider vinegar are endless. And I am always open to natural remedies. Of all of the numerous health benefits, here are just a few examples of what consuming organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar may be able to do for your body and overall health:
- lower blood sugar levels
- help with weight loss
- improve immune system
- lower cholesterol levels
- support the digestive system
- helps relieves allergies
- improve gut health
Apple cider vinegar is made of about 5-6% acetic acid which can kill harmful bacteria and may have a positive impact on gut health. Acetic acid may damage tooth enamel when not diluted. Diluting the ACV with water is a much better way to drink it, making this a better option than straight apple cider vinegar shots.
Potential Health Benefits of Raw Honey
The potential health benefits of raw honey are just as impressive as those of ACV. Honey has been historically known to soothe sore throats, heal wounds, and help with seasonal allergies. Honey is also considered to be an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-fungal compound. It has also been known to aid in digestion and possibly improve cholesterol and improve triglyceride levels.
Potential Health Benefits of Cinnamon
The potential health benefits of cinnamon are just as impressive as those of ACV. Cinnamon is considered to be an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial compound. Some studies suggest that it may help protect against cancer, and may prevent bacterial and fungal infections. It has antiviral properties and is also reported to reduce inflammation, help manage blood sugars, lower blood sugar levels, and protect against heart disease.
As you can see the potential health benefits of cinnamon, honey, and apple cider vinegar combined are abundant.

How to Make a Hot Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Drink
First, add the apple cider vinegar to a large mug. Then add the lemon juice, raw honey, and cinnamon.
Always opt for freshly squeezed lemon juice over the bottled stuff.
Next, fill the rest of the mug with hot water.
Gently stir the apple cider vinegar drink until the honey dissolves, and enjoy.
How Does Apple Cider Vinegar with Lemon, Cinnamon, and Honey Taste
This drink is soothing, but robust. It is not as light and mild as the other apple cider vinegar drinks that I make. Because it is more water than apple cider vinegar, the taste of apple cider vinegar is minimal and the raw honey adds a nice subtle sweet flavor.
Keep in mind that cinnamon does not dissolve. Make sure to stir thoroughly, and continue to stir to prevent a gritty buildup of cinnamon spice.
Enjoy this apple cider vinegar detox tea in the morning or evening, or any time of day.
